WHO asks China for more information on spike in pediatric respiratory illnesses
Increase in Respiratory Illnesses Among Children: There has been a notable rise in respiratory diseases and pneumonia clusters among children in China.
Link to COVID-19 Restrictions Lifting: Chinese authorities attribute this increase to the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, which previously helped control the spread of various pathogens.
